Arizona Office of Tourism Cooperative Program
Problem:
Arizona Office of Tourism's cooperative program selection process was messy and frustrating for participants and administrators alike. Think 30 different partners, 30 different buys, no added value, and spreadsheets galore. Layers of complexity limited rural destination participation, removed buying power, and inhibited statewide impact.
Solution:
We changed the game by thinking inside the problem and building a new program from the ground up. It started with a custom e-commerce-style platform that works like an online shopping cart. Participants can now browse media offerings, allocate budgets, and submit co-op plans in one streamlined experience. This transformed the participant experience and turned a complicated manual process into something simple, efficient and intuitive. Each year, we host one master webinar showcasing all offerings. Then we open the site for selections and offer office hours for 1:1 consultations. As a result, each year we see more and more participants and overwhelmingly positive feedback. And the word has gotten out. Other state tourism boards are inquiring about licensing our platform from Arizona Office of Tourism.
